Privacy Policy

Plume · Last updated June 28, 2026

Plume helps you decide what to wear each day—styled to your taste and your local weather. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. “We,” “us,” and “Plume” mean the team behind the Plume app.

What we collect

  • Pinterest—only with your permission. If you connect Pinterest, we use Pinterest’s official API to read the boards you choose, so we can learn your style and create outfit recommendations for you. We access only what you authorize, we show your pins back only to you, and you can disconnect at any time.
  • Location. With your permission, we use your approximate location (or a city you enter) to fetch your local weather forecast. You can turn this off.
  • Your activity in the app. Looks you save, wear, skip, or hide, and your preferences (such as your chosen stylist voice and appearance)—so your recommendations improve and your settings persist.
  • Account info, if you create an account. If you sign in (for example, with Apple or Google), we receive basic information such as your name and email to save your profile.

How we use it

  • To generate your daily outfit recommendations, dressed for your weather.
  • To personalize and improve your experience over time.
  • To operate, secure, and support the app.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show your pins to other users. We do not post to Pinterest or change your boards.

How we store and share it

We store your data on your device and/or on secure servers. Pinterest content is used and retained only as needed to provide the service and in line with Pinterest’s developer terms. We share data only with service providers that help us run Plume—for example, weather data, cloud hosting, and AI image-tagging used to categorize looks—under obligations to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

  • Disconnect Pinterest at any time, in the app or in your Pinterest settings.
  • Turn off location in your device settings.
  • Delete your data or account by contacting us.

Third-party services

Plume relies on third parties including Pinterest (board access), a weather provider, an AI tagging provider, RevenueCat (subscription management), and cloud hosting. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. Payments are processed by Apple; if you request a refund from Apple, aggregate app-usage (“consumption”) information may be shared with Apple to help it resolve the request—Apple makes the final decision.

Children

Plume is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as the app evolves and post the new date above.
